Sir John held Farleton by the service of a rose yearly. Through his wife he
held a portion of Bolton-le-Moors, and the manors of Chorely and Aighton.
In 1358 he went to London in the King's service. In September 1362, Henry,
Duke of Lancaster, granted to John de Harington of Farleton a lease of the
manor of Hornby.
